Rosedale Bowls Club NewsTo kick off this season's social events, we held a very enjoyable and successful sheep racing night at the club on Friday 14th April, Some 70 members and their guests took part in this very popular event.
We had 9 races in total and a round of "Heads or bottoms". We all enjoyed a ploughman's supper half way through the evening and our bar staff were kept very busy!
There were sponsors for every race and the sheep were auctioned for the last race. The event raised a very substantial profit which will be put to full use to fund the (ever rising) costs of maintaining our green, and our buildings and equipment.
A big thankyou is due to all those members who helped to arrange and run the evening and to all those members and their guests who took part.
