We held a Quiz Night on Friday 4th November. It was both a Fun Quiz and a Fund Raising Quiz, successful on both counts. Everyone attending had a great time and we raised over £650 towards our Centenary Fund, as next year will be our 100 year anniversary.
We had 11 tables and 84 quizzers in total. Rounds varied between shipping forecast areas, who am I, films, art & literature, flora and fauna, and comedy, to name but a few. Roger Newbold's table won with a total of 123 out of a maximum possible of 155, so a very good effort indeed.
John Gorry's table were runners up with 109, closely followed in third by Jan Hegarty's table on 108.
So, a great night, and we all came away knowing a little bit more than we did before. Whether we will remember it, remains to be seen." Some photots of the night can be seen in our quiz gallery.
